PDF AI browser extension · last updated 31 August 2026
What the extension processes
PDF text extraction and OCR run locally in your browser. When you ask a question, the relevant document content (the full text for short documents, or the passages the assistant retrieves for long ones), your question, and the conversation history are sent to our server, which forwards them to an AI provider to generate the answer.
What we store
- Account data: when you sign in with Google we store your Google account identifier, email address and name.
- Usage data: questions, answers, document titles and technical metadata (tokens used, cost, timing, errors) are logged to enforce usage allowances and improve answer quality.
- Technical identifiers: a random installation identifier and your IP address, used to provide the free trial, prevent abuse and secure accounts.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
- We do not read your browsing history; the extension only touches PDF documents you open or select.
- We store no payment details.
Third parties
Answers are generated by an AI model provider that receives document passages and questions. Google sign-in is provided by Google. Neither receives your data for any purpose other than providing the service.
Your choices
You can use the free trial without an account. You can request deletion of your account and associated logs at any time by contacting us.
